In Delft

Dad and Suvi went to visit Opa and Oma for the weekend and I stayed at home with mom. We went to do some shopping in Delft and went also for a coffee in a nice cafe. I saw many things I would've wanted to buy!

New bike

My mom bought me a cool fourwheeler!! I like it a lot, especially the bell on it!

Dancer

I just love dancing! Here mom was just able to film a little before I went on to do something else, but I kept dancing here and there for this good music. I seem to like belgian popmusic, here I dance to Milow and yesterday I was also dancing a lot to Absynthe Minded. I wonder when will I see my first livegig somewhere!?

Progress

I have been progressing a lot in one week. Now I already can "eat" and play football while I am walking! You can easily notice that I am dutch!

Walking like a zombie

I'm practising a lot! I really like this zombie-style, although I also took some influence from the drunken people in Finland :P

Summer holiday Finland - part 1

The birthday boy!

First birthday cake. I wasn't able to blow the candle, my sister, however, was.

I adapt quickly to the usual habits in Finland.

I liked this dog a lot. We stayed for one night in this cabin. There was a beautiful sauna at the lake, and I also swam in the lake!

Playing with Bobbie

A couple of weeks ago we went to visit my Aunt Nelleke's family in Zeeland. It was a lot of fun!!! Bobbie and I are quite different personalities but we play very nicely together! She's only 12 days younger than I am.

Potty

My sister is potty training, and I also think it's fun to sit on the potty! Who knows, maybe I'll learn it before she does!

Learning new stuff

I am quickly becoming a big boy. I have finally learned to eat fingerfood quite well. Here I am eating a strawberry with some rice cakes. I often refuse to be fed anymore. Unless I also get a spoon in my hand and am allowed to eat from the plate myself. Which of course gets messy. So my mom hopes that I soon figure out how to properly put the spoon in my mouth.


I am also climbing EVERYWHERE now. Today I even learned to climb up the stairs, all the way to the second floor. I do it really well. But I'd also like to try to jump down the stairs, so I am quite a risk factor to myself.


Here I am standing with support, but I've also been standing more and more without any support. I'm learning a lot of stuff!!

Besides eating shoes, climbing and going outside, one of my favourite things is watching building machinery. There are some building works close to our house and we go and watch the machines there. Also if I hear a machine (tractor, crane etc..) passing our house, I try to quickly crawl to the window to see it!!

Strawberries

This is my first contact with strawberries!

I decided to wait until they get a bit sweeter and donated this one to my dad!

Sandbox 2

It's been again much colder lately, but thanks to finnish children's clothes (my lovely overalls, which I've inherited from my sister), I have still been able to enjoy the fun of the sandbox! Here dad was taking the picture and couldn't stop me from tasting some of the delicious sand.

Sandbox

It was almost summer for one week and I became already a huge fan of the sandbox! I also love to study the ground in the backyard and look for all sorts of stuff which I am not allowed to put in mouth (for example leaves are great!). Ants and spiders are also very interesting.
Now it's raining again and I must wait for better weather to continue my outdoor studies...

Expeditions

I'm going everywhere now and I find everything interesting. Especially fun are our shelfs in the living room, which are big enough for me to hide or to crawl through! I have also learned to stand two weeks ago, so almost no place is safe from me anymore!

Amsterdam

I spent the Easter-weekend in Amsterdam with my mom and her finnish friends. I really liked it, although after a whole day of being carried or sitting in the buggy, I was really waiting to be able to crawl and play on the hotel bed or on the floor! I also met a pretty italian lady in a café and saw a shop which was named after me!

Crawling

Playing with a ball

I really love to play with a ball. This "pikku myy" ball is easiest to throw, but I of course like the big ones from Suvi even better. She just doesn't always wanna give her toys to me. Well, if she waits a while, I will soon be bigger than she is!

Sitting

This week I have been learning a lot of things; I learned to crawl (backwords with my butt up!), to sit up, to throw a ball and to pick up stuff with my thumb and forefinger. Now I also try to straighten my legs when I am in the crawling position. I am really no small baby anymore!

Natural talent

This really is my thing!! I wish mom and dad would buy me such a set as well, now I only get to play at Opa&Oma's.

Lounging

This is my most usual position. I love to be lying sideways on the floor, often also tapping my butt or my leg with my hand, and observe what Suvi is doing. Some people around here, though, think that I look funny..

Broccoli!

One of my favourite foods at the moment is broccoli. I can even eat it quite handily on my own, without mom helping me. Although after that someone has to clean me, my table and most of the kitchen floor :)

Swimming

I went swimming for the first time last weekend. I loved it! It's a pity my mom could not take me to baby swimming, because of her back problems, but maybe now we'll start to go to swimming with the whole family sometimes! I sure hope so!

Oma and me

Oma is usually always taking the pictures, but this time she also wanted to be on the photo with me!

Me and Bobbie, February

Last weekend we visited Papa's sister Nelleke and her family. I got to play with Bobbie of course. She's really nice, although I think she finds me sometimes a bit too rough :P
